God has brought the John Kokenzie and Jeremy Tyler families together. There ministry team, however, branches out much further than this. God has provided laborers from a number of places. These men and women are uniquely qualified in theology, translation, technology and media and many of them happen to be members of their sending church. There are also those who have made it a habit to pray for and/or financially support the work. Each of these precious people continue to help in a number of ways making the ministry of reaching the world through Brazil extend much further than the Kokenzies and Tylers could have done alone.
The Kokenzie and Tyler families are sent out of the Temple Baptist Church in Powell, TN. Each family has a unique group of supporting churches whose assistance has been crucial.
God led these missionaries to precede their physical presence in Brazil with an Internet presence. The response has been deeply encouraging. Eighty-five percent of Brazilians who use the Internet involve themselves in social sites. Tapping into this interest, the ministry of www.ConhecendoDeus.com.br quickly made an impact in the country. The immediate need for the translation of gospel material became evident. The Lord quickly added to the ministry several volunteers who have been instrumental in both the development and translation of this website. Some of the languages now available are Spanish, German, French, Arabic and even Behdini.
May God also enable numerous Brazilians to take this ministry to the next level, specifically by developing excellent Christian literature that would be affordable, understandable and effective in Brazil and around the world. The Kokenzies and Tylers hope to have established several churches who will share in this great work and will carry it on to the next generation.
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that He would send laborers into the harvest.
